On the court, Coach Mell was really keen my development from the start and I remember my first every training he came up to me talk to me about my future and I remember him telling me I had potential to do something with Basketball, not just in Singapore, but abroad in the US. So over the course of two years, he mentored me closely and train me vigourously at team practices, as well as off the court private training sessions. off the court, my confidence grew as a person and Coach Mell was like a father figure to me as well. I learned a lot about life from him and his past experiences not just as a basketball player, but also as a high schooler and young adult.
